nike: And out of the blue, ninjas attack. Thank God! (Thank God for ninjas)
I'm mostly just putting this here so that I have proof if I guessed correctly. Otherwise, don't mind me. *handwave* This isn't the post you're looking for. Move along.

I watched Gravity Falls and, not so surprisingly, got addicted to it. For anyone reading this who hasn't seen it, it's what you get when you cross a late 80s/early 90s childhood with Twin Peaks and X-Files and then animate it. There are secrets w/in secrets in this show and it encourages its fans to pick it apart scene by scene. The fact it's genuinely funny and heartwarming w/ really awesome characters just makes it all the better.

It's all about to end, however, and with a bang considering the recent episodes have dealing with the end of the world - literally, not figuratively; there's demons and everything running around. And the lead demon, named Bill Cipher, has a very interesting and cryptic wheel associated with him. There are literally dozens of pictures and theories accompanying the wheel, none of which I'm going to bother putting here. All you need to know is that there are ten symbols on the wheel: a pine tree, a question mark, a shooting star, a five-point star with an eye, a six-fingered hand, a sewn up heart, a pair of glasses, a crescent fish/claw thingy, a llama, and a bag of ice.

Bill Cipher refers to three of the main characters, Dipper, Mabel, and Soos, as Pine Tree, Shooting Star, and Question Mark in that order, making it clear that the symbols are supposed to represent people. It's also been hinted that the wheel is what can stop Bill. Dipper wears a hat with a pine tree design on it, Soos is often seen wearing a shirt with a question mark, as it seems to be his Mystery Shack work attire. Mabel's always changing clothes, but has worn a shooting star design before and has been connected to shooting stars even when not wearing it. Their Great Uncle (or Grunkle) Stan wears a fez with the crescent fish/claw thing (it seems to have started out as a crescent moon only to have been changed later for some reason), and the mysterious Author of the Journals is very likely the Six-Fingered Hand (they're even called Sixer as a nickname after their reveal). The star w/ eye has been associated with Gideon while Robbie wears a hoodie with the damaged heart. And the most recent episode focusing on Pacific Northwest had clues to suggest she might be the Llama. This leaves the ice bag and the glasses as the one stumping people, although hopes are that one of them is Wendy, who is awesomely kickass.

My theory is this: based on who's in the Mystery Shack at the end of Weirdmaggedon Part II, Glasses is Candy, who wears glasses, and the ice bag is Grenda, who wanders around in a shirt that says 'Cool' on the front. This doesn't seem to leave room for Wendy except for the fact it totally does.

Robbie's not the broken heart. Heck, he didn't even have a broken heart last time we saw him, even if he did earlier. He's just a red herring, as evidenced by Wendy being purposely vague about whether or not he got captured with the rest of her friends. Taken one way, she totally saw him get caught. Taken another, a person can easily rationalize that she didn't actually see it happen and he got away.

Wendy, on the other hand, is present, very much established as kickass, and is a Heartbreaker. She's broken Robbie and Dipper's hearts (not on purpose, but still) and, based on the very entertaining one-sided conversations she and Mabel had at each other in the episode Gideon was introduced in, she's broken the hearts of at least a half-dozen other boys.

Everyone else is obvious based on the above. Now all that remains is to see if I'm right.
