I'm also absurdly good at picking up patterns, even sometimes ones that aren't there. :) But I'm pretty certain about the meta above, mostly because I've had outside confirmation from a few other people on different aspects of my above meta.
And cool! I actually started out in a Western Animation fandom before discovering slash and the MSF at the same time and then discovering the awesomeness that is anime. I keep wandering between the three areas depending on whatever catches my attention.
