My internet connection has been problematic lately, so I haven't been online a lot.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes!
I had to work but M got me a big chocolate cupcake and the Dr. got me a Hershey's chocolate bar. My mom came to pick me up Tuesday to do something fun. I spent the night at her house and we did some shopping. And then on Friday, my manager, M, and the Dr. got me a little cake and a little cheesecake. We ate the cheesecake and I took the little cake home. I have gotten way too many sweets from them. :D
My bedroom got flooded the other day when the hot water heater died. The landlord did what he could, and my friend M let me borrow her dad's old dehumidifier, which is something a Colorado native, like myself or my landlord, wouldn't think of. Thanks to that, everything is dry.
Since I've been stuck more or less offline, I've been working on a new piece of fanfiction, this time for the Transformers fandom. It's a very... different action/adventure/romance, especially considering at least one of my main characters is fully aware he's not the most stable of people. I have been having fun explaining how giant alien robots would express emotions. They're not just limited to human senses, after all. I'm over 13,000 words now, nearing 14,000. I still have a scene towards the beginning I need to write before I can start posting it, though.
